According to research this month from BIGresearch, 87% of consumers research products online, but buy offline.

The message from this is clear: the key to e-commerce success is not to rush to get your products for sale on your website, but to use the internet to build trust, credibility and to show them: "what's in it for me."

By being able to communicate with customers and prospects in a way that is meaningful for them, and that continually reinforces your unique selling proposition, you can make a significant impact on the amount of business that comes through the door.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't sell your products online, just that the process starts with communication and persuasion, so you build a relationship and gain not just a sale, but a customer for life!
