Shoe Clinic has grown over the past six years to become the country’s leading chain of sports footwear and apparel retailers with 10 stores from Auckland to Invercargill. And in that time the company has also established itself as one of the country’s leaders in the use of e-marketing

Web Genius has been there from day one and the systems are integral elements in the company’s leading edge marketing systems.

Web Genius is used to manage the company’s loyalty rewards systems, email promotions and e-newsletters, as well as the web content management system, which allows the website to change according the information about each member stored on Shoe Clinic’s marketing database.

Shoe Clinic director Hamish French acknowledges that the partnership with Web Genius has developed into a crucial part of the company’s marketing mix.

"We have used Web Genius for our website, email marketing and loyalty rewards programme since 2001,” says Hamish. “And it has been instrumental to our marketing during this time - a time which has seen significant growth for Shoe Clinic.”

“Our staff and the staff of our franchisees throughout the country use the system on a daily basis and find it user friendly and efficient. Whenever there are any issues that need attention or clarification the Web Genius team are always very responsive in sorting things out.”

The Shoe Clinic website now receives over 200 visits per day and Hamish reports that it receives consistently positive feedback.

“There are now over 70,000 on our database and Web Genius sends out around 50,000 emails on a monthly basis, many of which are generated automatically by the software with no need for intervention from us," says Hamish.
