Matatoa Tree and Shrub Centres is based just outside of the small Manawatu town of Shannon, and its relative isolation makes it a prime candidate to take advantage of e-marketing.

The company uses Web Genius’s loyalty rewards, email marketing and website management systems to run its e-marketing programmes. Four years down the track the Matatoa site is now an excellent example of small business web site development.

Matatoa director Jeanine Hathaway says the business appreciates the fact that Web Genius takes care of all the technicalities, so they can focus on the content. “I am looking forward to when I can spend a bit more time enhancing the content as it is very user friendly to work with, which is one of the big bonuses of working with the Web Genius software,” says Jeanine.

“Meanwhile, our website still keeps working for us 24 hours a day bringing more and more people into our nursery or just ordering off the web and it is pretty much hassle free.”

Jeanine continues: “The loyalty program which is part of the web site program is also easy to operate and I am sure it does bring customers back in to the business to spend more. I am looking forward to watch the statistics of visits and orders from the website grow as we continue to enhance it.”
