Absolutely! Web Genius can manage your Google My Business listing on your behalf by claiming, verifying and optimising it with your business details, OR, we can advise you on how to claim your Google My Business listing.

Yes, for our clients who have a managed SEO service; please forward your gmail address and we will grant you edit access to the dashboard. Please note that for security and reporting reasons we are not able to allocate full management access.

Due to tightened email security across all email providers and a myriad of different email delivery software packages, it is now (more often than not), necessary for email inboxes to have filters or settings in place to allow email originating from the Web Genius platform to be accepted as legitimate. Check your SPAM/JUNK folder settings - select the email from wb.gs and the option "Add to safe senders list".

Web Genius has a number of reasons for restricting contact by your customers from the secure forms on your website. They are as follows:

  • Publishing your actual email address on your website can make your website vulnerable to SPAM, and this cannot be stopped by Web Genius as you have opted to make this information public.
  • Any emails that may be received by you from a customer who has copied your email address cannot be recorded into your Statistics for the website and will therefore not be counted as a lead from your site.
  • The customer's contact details cannot be saved into your website database and therefore cannot be utilised in any promotions you wish to communicate via your website newsletter/email system.
However if you wish to have your email address/es on your website, we will place them where requested.

The types of edits which are generally performed within a 60 minute block for qualifying websites include such items as:

  • Photos swapped-out or added to content pages or galleries [please note this time will depend on the number, quality and size of the image(s) supplied and how much resizing, cropping, enhancing (lightening/darkening/sharpening etc) and compressing] is required.
  • Additional testimonials added, new/changed business hours/days, page text content, staff changes, links to PDF documents (i.e. brochures, price lists etc), new/changed product descriptions, new or additional business locations.
Please note: a change of business location needs to be updated in the Header/Footer, Contact page, location map update, Google My Business page update - all of these edits will take approximately 20-30 minutes.

Any requests for edits to a website should be emailed to: support@webgenius.co.nz.  Please include your business name in the subject line of the email, and include full instructions of what you would like edited. Depending on the current queue of requests, the lead time for a reply or confirmation of completion of the request is generally 3-4 business days.

The 60 minutes of complimentary minutes of content editing time do not accrue, if these are not utilised within the calendar month they will expire, so we recommend they are used whenever possible. The next available 60 minutes of content editing time begins on the first day of the new calendar month.

Yes, as long as your video is loaded on a publicly accessible platform such as Youtube or Vimeo, and you are able to provide the address for the clip, we will be able to embed the clip onto your website.
